Default 2009 KLX250S Oversize tank

I'm sure this topic has been discussed here before but I'm looking for a bigger gas tank to replace the stock one on the 2009 model. I don't really want an auxiliary tank because I ride mostly on the street but this tank is quite pitiful. If anyone can help that'd be great. Thanks.

Clark makes a tank, as does Acerbis, but for the money I don't think either one is worth what little you get. Oh and welcome to the forums.

yeah I was looking at those ones, but they only make it up until 2008. It seems like no one makes anything for this year. Thanks.

Someone has made a 1 gal+ bolt on aux tank that goes behind the number plate where the overflow tank is on the 2009, its in here somewhere. If I can find it I'll post a link.

yeah I saw that yesterday, pretty decent. It looks like that is my only choice, or I can just carry some MSR fuel bottles because I don't go on very long ride or I don't see myself doing so...I saw your bike in the picture thread in the sticky section, you have some gas containers on that case on your rack right? (just assuming) I think I'll do that but I need to find the right case.

What is your setup for that, if my assumption is correct, that is? haha thanks again.

I carry 2 33 0z bottles in my camelbak, and 2 22oz bottles in my pelican case. I still have yet to need all that gas on long rides. But its there just in case.

haha my bad for the typing error. Yeah what size Pelican case do you use for those 22oz bottles. That's actually a great setup.
