BTW I'm using a FSW header pipe I found on e-bay in place of the smaller in diameter KLX300 header pipe.
Does anyone know if the FSW header pipe will mate ok with the Q4?

If the matching FSW slipon is listed to fit the stock header as well as the FSW header, then the FSW header will mate with the Q4.

I just checked out the Four Stroke Works (FSW) web site for you. Since they sell silencers and headers for the KLX separately, it would be safe to assume the FSW header will mate with your Q4.. Of course, a quick call to them would solve all - FourStrokeWorks - quality products and services for four-stroke motorcycles

I have a FSW header pipe on my bike.
It is attached to a KLX300 silencer and it all fits.
A KLX300 header pipe will also connect to the KLX300 silencer as there is a step up on the KLX300 header to match the KLX silencer

The FSW header will not connect to a KLX250 silencer because the pipe diameter is bigger on the FSW
KLX300 silencer will connect to the FSW header and also to a KLX300 header pipe

So I can't answer the question of the matching of the Q4 but I would assume that you would need a klx300 Q4 in order to match the FSW header

dpippin, I'm thinking you need to edit your post - for instance "A KLX300 header pipe will also connect to the KLX300 silencer ..." is probably not what you intended to say..

I have been assuming we are talking about KLX250's, and not KLX300's... right?

Now, has it already been figured out, in here, exactly how mixin n' matchin 300 and 250 exhaust components works ?
If not, I can do-up a definitive guide by getting my '06 KLX300R and my '12 KLX250S together for a "quickie hook up" to see what works and what doesn't..

Hey thanks. Yeah, I wanted to shoot them a quick email about it but can't find an email address anywhere on their site. Would rather avoid the overseas call at midnight if I can.
