Sharp lookingbike. I wish Icould see more angles, but the slide show doesn't seem to be working right now.The tail shape and tail light looks like it comes straight from the D-tracker. Improved braking, increased rake, firmer seat andcloser 5th to 6th ratio sounds like what most people were asking for. Heck, they even trew in a improved swing arm! I wouldn't be too warm and fuzzy about the decreased travel, but I guess we'll see how that pans-out. Hopefully the front suspension has been firmed up a bit. It would almost have to be.

What I'm wondering is what will be the first thing to go when someone buys the bike. The charcoal canister?

I like the new back fender but not the front fender, points downward and takes away from the off road look. I like the 06-07 front fender, but thats an easyfix.

That was certainly the first to go off the KaTooM.

Yep it looks like my 07 is better than the 09, more suspension travel, more ground clearance, taller 6th gear, rear rack, better looking front fender (imo) steeper rake, less evaporative emission system, huh it seems to me these new improvements aren't really improvements after all...... LOL WUHH wuhhhhh

The only thing they could do now is put a bigger gas tank on it, maybe I'd buy that if it fit my bike....but I doubt it, it does say NARROW tank design..

It looks like some people might get the opportunity to get some good dealer pricing on the 2007's. I don't regret my purchase one bit, especially at the price I paid. There's no way I would pay ~$2K more for the new style KLX-250S. Sure the upgraded brakes and digital instruments would be nice but, I was thinking about using KX-250 brakes anyway but so far I see no reason to upgrade with my limited riding. If I crash and burn or wear them out, I'm thinking I would opt for the brake upgrade at that point in time.

I NEED SPECS AND MORE PICS!!!!! anda ride report wouldnt hurt either. is that tank plastic? nice to see them change that old headlight.looks like most cosmetics will be compatible with our bikes, if the frame is the same, which it looks to be.

I would have to see the new klx in person to see if it is an improvement. The headlight has to be better though. Now that 250 ninja is hot. It would be sweet if they kept the 2999 price tag.

I am pretty sure that Federal D.O.T Safety Standards require that street legal bikes be manufactured with a steel fuel tank even though most states could care less if you replace it with a plastic unit.

Looks to have some plusses & some minus from the 06-07. The best lies somewhere in between---I'll let you guys know how my conversion goes as I imagine some 08/09 parts will work their way onto the 06/07
