Hey
I had the same trouble with my 06, severial responces from the fourm said to pull the choke out very slowly as you start the bike. Works for my 06. Our motorcycle school use 09/10 KLX 250 in our street and dirt classes, the same problem with the new bikes, the slow choke works with them also.
The bikes are lean from the factroy, so I dont know why this works.
Good luck

ya but still its a dirtbike theres not much to these things.. you shouldnt have to lean your bike over to get it to start. my friend matt has one and it runs great. my friend nick had one but he ran into the back of a van at 50 and killed himself in october of 09'.. that really sucked. but his ran great too. i dont understand what the problem is that you guys are having.. must flood really easy??

ok guy heres another trick i just learned...after storing my 07 for about 2 months,i decided to fire it up and run it a bit,was a nice day and roads were dry in upstate NY,anyway,it didn;t want to fire using the " hit start button then pull choke out" method,so i used the choke like a primer, pumping it,and it fired!...hey,whatever works..lol
