I am considering the edge tail light after bending up my OEM plate mount in the first hundred miles before even getting my plate from DMV.
I wish it had integrated blinkers like many of the street bike kits have.

there actually is a edge tail light kit available with integrated blinkers. i know they're made for the wr250 & drz400, but thats not to say you can't fit it to the klx or switch the mounting hardware/ switch the actually light itself.

I've got one and really like it. The OEM signals won't bolt up, you can get tehm to work sort of but it will never work like the OEM lights are supposed to with their rubber OEM mounting system. So you'll need to buy aftermarket lights. The blinker mounts on the EDGE system are really thin metal so be careful not to bend them.
The main metal plate is nice thick metal that fit up really well.
The red taillight is barely adequate so I would worry that the smoked lense would be dangerous.

Installed mine tonight and it is awesome! Good build quality, easy install (just remember to save your old one - you need some parts off it). I have the mico LED turn signals but didn't get a chance to install yet. Here it is!

Generic LED tail light
Hi guys.
So, I decided to tackle replacing the tail light with a an LED one I got from my Kawasaki dealer. It is a generic LED unit - not a KLX250 EDGE2 kit. I got part way through the mod, then abandoned it for 2 reasons. First was that the mounting points didn't match up, and second was that the mounting points for the indicators weren't great.
Here are some pics of the setup:

Generic:
Mockups:
So looking at that, I am going to have to make some modifications to mount it properly, and to mount the indicators. I'm also not convinced about how bright the generic kit looks.
For you guys that have fitted the EDGE2 kit, do the mounting holes match up exactly? Or did you have to modify the mounts as well?
And for the indicators, it seems there is a "EDGE Blinkers Stays kit" on Wheel Cycles Supply - I'm guessing they are specific to the EDGE kit and not generic?
Any hints, tips, etc? I am thinking it may be worth buying the EDGE2 kit if it has the correct mounting points.
