Default 2009 KLX carbs changes

I hope the factoryadvertised "revised settings" on the09 KLX250S carbhave fixed the quirks experienced in the 06 and 07 models.

I'll let you know once I get mine from the dealer next month in early March.

I don’t expect any changes that are apparent though since they are keeping the CVK34. If they stay with the same choked up airbox then they aren’t going to alter the stock jetting. About the only thing I can see is opening up the hole on the slide (aka: drilling the slide 7/64”)…… whoopee.

Danbury Rider...are you from Danbury, CT? If so, thats great, I live in Southbury and got a couple riding buddies with KLX's and XR's. There are a couple other guys from CT on here too. Let me know when you get that hog so we can ride.

And oh yeah...Welcome to the forum!

Glad you're so close by! I live in Carmel, NYbut will be commuting to Danbury,CT. where I work and where I ordered the bike(MOTOFIT on Mill Plain Rd.)

It's only been 22 years since I've owned my last bike(XR 500)!Ha, I had betterpractice.
Judging from your picture,I'll have tocruise on the pavement first and then ease into some off roading until I get some time back in the saddle. The 09stock tires may also limit the off road traction, eh?

When was your last ride? Yesturday it was 9 deg out. Today's high, 45. C'mon Spring!

Patiently Waiting,
Danbury Rider...well almost

My last "real"off road ride was probably last year, the last trails that were open closed the last weekend in November. As for on road riding, I always try and get a few miles in everytime it gets above 40 degrees out...

Please tell us the day it arrives. On Friday my dealer said it will still be a month or two which means he has no idea.
