Default 2009 KLX 250s larger aftermarket tank?

Been looking everywhere and can't seem to find a bigger tank for my bike I've heard that the bike is to new and nobodys step up to the plate yet on designing one, so just wondering if there is a alternative, cause where I ride a need more gas (my wife says I hold to much gas already) HA

almost any older tank will fit, it depends on you skill range on bikes and what you want. i went acerbis, easy to fit, few mods, but only comes in green. at some point ill switch to the old ims, but ill have to mod the rad fans and also the platics.

Default Bigger tank

I haven't stripped my uk spec fuel injected bike down this far but I suspect the tank will be quite different to the carb engined bike. Previous FI bikes I have owned have had the fuel pump in the tank and the tank was very different to allow for this, so if you have an FI bike it might not be as simple as modifying an Acerbis tank.

Good luck with this one. Looks like the Acerbis will fit with some modifications.

I opted for the two gallon Rotopax (Rotopax.com) on a rack.

Sign...ive been looking for a year. Finally broke down, bought the nomadic rack and 1G rotopax. Both great products and highly recommend both. With a 1G tank you will essentially get 50% more range, not bad, could probably get up to 300-350km range.

I wanted the 2G, but thought it was a bit large and could be too much weight with all my bags too.
