Default 2009 bigger tank

How about this. If you own a 2009 KLX call Clarke and tell them you'd love to see them manufacture a lager tank (not just in green). I contacted Acerbis, IMS and Clarke. Acerbis and IMS said they had no plans for making one for the 2009. Clarke said they might think about it.

The best thing to do is to start a thread and send Clarke the link. Similar to what they are doing with the new CDI thread. I'd definitley pay for a bigger tank I could use without making major mods...add me to the list.

Are the 2009 tanks so different you can use the 2007 models?

I am pretty sure I have seen the acerbis tank for the 07's fitted to the 09's. Not quite fit like a glove, but it works.

i alreadly tryed, their giving you a run around. you can got for the acerbis tank, which fits with much mods, but i dont recomend it anymore. i have found the braces on the bottom of the tank that hold it steadly can push in in a crash and brake the radiator mounts (or i ride way to hard). you can also go with clark or ims. clark has leakage issues (would buy one just for that fact). ims has issues with the fan, but if your good at mechanics at all i would go that route. personally, i have the acerbis and hope to switch to ims some time in the future.
