all the praise and joy getting the two-brothers and now you're selling? I understand though if you ride mostly road and want something with some real power like a sportbike. $4200 is a bit steep if you ask me, that's what mine went for on ebay, but it only had 600 miles, a full BG system, and other minor but effective mods. but, I think it was a freak sell as a soldier that was still in Iraq bought it because he was getting ready to come home, his dad picked it up for him. I had the bidding start at $3800 I think and didn't get a bid until he bought it. Also, I purchased mine for $4399 when new. good luck though.

 

dude, do not be seducted so quickly. that gixxer that you rode, well, it's a generic cookie cutter bike. look at what you have and think to yourself if it's really worth it to sell it and lose money just to turn around and buy something that really loses it's value- a japanese sportbike. I use to be a sportbike junky, not a squid, back in the early to mid 90's. I about got killed on a '96 gixxer 750, and decided that even though I wasn't hot-rodding nor was it my fault that i crashed, the sportbike is just a huge temptation with your life and your license and pocketbook. you cannot even have fun on one unless you're breaking the law. don't get me wrong, I know what it feels like to want something else as I did myself. but really think hard on what you have before you sell it and buy something you think may make you happy. I'm not talking about myself having regrets about buying my SM, but venturing that far away froma KLX is huge. Also, do you really want a "like everybody else" sportbike? why not get a ducati or something different like a triumph or that sweet new Buell, well it's a few years old but really cool. take a deep breath, shop like crazy on the internet and then decide. just my .02.

 

deej- I like you a lot so don't take this the wrong way. just because he buys a streetbike, or a sportbike doesn't mean that he is going to go out and ride like a crazy and get killed speeding. sure, that bike will do 100mph or so in 1st gear but it doesn't have to. this is why I don't have a sportbike- there are only a handful of riders that even have close to the ability to ride one of these bikes, the others are the ones who are getting killed. I wouldn't say speed kills necessarily, but more that ignorance and inexperience kills quicker. oh, btw- deej, i luv u man!![sm=smiley20.gif]
