Where did I even insinuate that I was smarter because of being older or a mod, those things don't mean anything. You are the only one who comes on here and is negative from the start period. I was just saying that you can comment and post stuff without that.

 

Oh and the day I tell people to stop having opinions is the day I will delete my account. I never said you shouldn't have an opinion, but there is a difference in stating an opinion and being rude and you have yet to display that quality.

 

And if you keep it up I will ban you. I don't want to but I will at least suggest that you stop coming on here and causing trouble. Do you realize that I have been quiet about this ever since you first bought the KLX and trashed it and bought the DRZ and still trashed the KLX and now you want to buy another one while still telling people that they paid too much or that they will be disappointed? I think its time to move on. You poked the bear now deal with it.

I don't want to raise IG's ire by referring to him in this response but there's usually one or two really opinionated guys/gals on any forum...I try to just read the message and filter out the attitude/chutzpah/whatever. Oftentimes, there's good info behind the post and it's good to at least read it through once or twice to determine that. And not to say that I don't get upset or offended but if I do, I try to at least re-read my reply-post or count to 10 (or a 100).

It's too easy to give people the wrong impression...writing skills usually lag speaking skills in most people so what might seem well reasoned or eloquent in a person's mind ends up reading not-quite-the-same on paper/on-screen so a lot of posts deserve a re-read or two.

My other bike is a BMW F650GS so I spend a lot of time on F650.com. There's a lot of good people over there and lots of good information and useful opinion. There are a few guys over there that like to break your ***** but they mix in self-deprecation (sp?) and a joke every now and then to defuse things when the pressure seems to climb. The people that are really hard-asses self-select themselves off that particular forum.

If this were ADVRider.com, the latter part of this thread would probably cause the whole thread to move to the Jo Momma forum.
