2007 Kawasaki KLX 250 For SALE
Hi All,
I've decided to sell my KLX250. Awesome Bike, but just never found the time to ride it since the baby. I only bought it a few months ago and only has 329 miles, so well below break-in period. The Bike is sitting in my garage and is pretty much brand new! Out the door, I paid $5,800 at the dealershipso I'm asking $$5,000 or best offer.
I live in Bothell, WA.
If anyone is interested, email me at ---- jernierivera@gmail.com
Thanks,
joe

LOL, you'll be lucky to get $3500 tops nowadays. You know brand new ones can be had for $4200, right? I realize you can ask anything for your crap, but I'll guarantee you that no one in their right mind will spend $5000 on any KLX250, new, used, bored to the max, piped, modded to the hilt, or one like yours. I've got a deal going on an '07 with 198 miles here in central Iowa for $3200. I've decided to wait until spring though and the seller won't put it on ebay for some reason. And this baby still has **** on the rubber. no pun intended guys.

Don't mean to hijack the thread.
I must not be in my right mind. Someone ADVRider.com posted something similar in response to a post of mine where I listed my OTD price. This and IG's post makes me question my sanity with respect to the sale price of the bike. I think it comes down to
I paid $5300 for my KLX250 on Friday. The bike itself was $3899 but I had to pay for things like sales tax, a titling fee, dealer prep, one other $300 or so amount (can't remember what it was for) and a small, $30 amount. I thought $3899 for a $4899 bike was a good starting point and those other charges are unavoidable.
When IG says you can get a KLX250 for $4200 is that just the price of the bike or the Out-the-door price? If someone asks me what I paid I say, $5300 because that is the price of the bike plus all the other stuff I have to pay. If I say, "$3899" that's misleading because you've got the little gotchas of sales tax, dealer fees, government-related fees, etc.

While I don't know real estate in Seattle, I don't care to. Why would I want to live in a climate where it rains daily, houses are through the roof pricewise, and their football team sucks? Iowa is a regular on being the top place in the country to go to school, work, raise a family, etc.

I hate to say it, but you got took on the price of your bike. I paid $4675 otd for my '06 in April 2006. I sold it for $4200 a year later on ebay. I hate to say it, but naivety comes into play here on your part. You'll probably take offense to that, but that's your perrogative (sp?). I didn't mean any. It's a fact of life and we all learn from it. Dealer fees, prep charges, surging title/licensing fees are just money in the pocket for the dealer. You act like you want the bike, they'll bend you over and act as your tongue for a few mins. All that matters though is you like your bike.

It's actually kind of frustrating to see such a wide range of prices being paid. I feel I did well at $4300 OTD on My 2007 including everything but a helmet. I would go back to the dealer that charged $5800 & demand at least a $1000refund or stand outside with a sign showing how they ripped me off. It's even worse with cars. I have seen where people have spent $3000 more than me for my VW Jetta. Yes the Buyer should beware but C'mon there ought to be a law against price inflation.
