2006 for sale
I have a 2006 that I am looking to sell. It has all the free mods, jet kit, pro-taper bars, and aftermarket handgaurds. It also has a custom exhaust that came off a CRF 250. Sounds and runs great. I am in RI, and looking to get about $4000. It only has about 350 miles on it. Does this price seem reasonable? Also if anyone is interested, or knows someone who is let me know krisfalcone@gmail.com. I hate to sell it, but I just don’t have time to ride it, and I am looking for an old CJ7...
Thanks

I emailed them asking their reserve. They replied with $3900 and they have three more brand new '06's. I told them they were crazy to ask that for a bike when the temp is 25 and we got 5" of snow last week. I would think $3000 would be pretty favorable for your bike but hey if you can get $4000 out of it, kudos for you. These bikes lose value pretty fast anymore. Now with the all new 2009 model coming, it will only hurt these older ones more on resale. You asked if that price seemed reasonable, and I just gave you my thought on that.

RE: 2006 for sale
As much as thats an okay offer. I already own a 2006 KLX250s. But you had me thinking on the Kelly Blue Book value. And funny thing is, its gone up since the last time checked. Orginally it was $3600 Retail back in April 2007, now its $3840. Doesn't mean I'll sell my KLX, love the bike too much to that.

KBB means nothing. It's just a number. Retail is what someone is willing to buy it off you for. I doubt it very much that anyone is going to pay over $3000 for any used KLX- '07 or '06. There was just an '07 here in central IA that had 198 miles on it that I could've bought for $3200 a couple months back. I decided to wait to see if they were going to update the bike and I am glad I waited. The new one makes the old one look, well, old now. But it still looks good, just a little dated now.

Sinkoman, here is the original post with pics from the day after i did the work. The Exhaust was actually off a 2003 YZ250F, for some reason I remembered it as a CRF pipe...
A buddy of mine did the same thing to his DRZ400 a few years back with the exhaust off a YZ426, so that’s where i got the idea...
