I still have my KDX front forks and triples if you need them for any reason

That's an 11" fork, isn't it?

It's always good to know where parts are available. And, you won't hear any complaints from me about the hijack. When you get hijacked by a zomby with a hairdo like that, it's best not to complain.

Ya, nice to have spares. I still have my KDX forks, triples, wheel and axle in the barn for any of you KLX traitors who might need them. The forks come with heavier Fredette springs for us husky riders.

Also have a pristine set of KLX300R forks in there as well.

First time out with the KDX, yesterday. Went to the harescramble track, and I think this bike and I are going to get along quite well.

Down side:
-I never had to trailer the KLX.
-I stalled more times than I would have liked, and definitely more times than I would have with the KLX. In late December I will find a flywheel weight under a tree in my house, if I can wait that long.
Up side:
-After 4 laps I was only half as tired as I would have been on the KLX
-I haven't timed any laps yet, but I'm 100% certain they were going by faster this week than they were last week, on the KLX.

Can anyone recommend a KDX forum that's half as good as this one?

KDXrider.net is as good a source for the KDX as this one is for the KLX.

Glad you liked the KDX. If it's stock, then it feels anemic compared with a modified KDX - just like the KLX.

If you give it some time, you'll get used to the powerband and not stall nearly as much.

Good luck.

I did my first harescramble on the KDX, last Sunday. I ended up 5th in the novice class. A few minutes after I thought to myself "I can't believe I used to do this on a bike 40 lbs heavier" I caught a guy on an XR650. I talked to him after the race and he had a KDX a long time ago, but says he loves the XR for its tractoring ability... Crazy bastard

The grass track section is new at this guy's place. I didn't think much of it when I heard he had cut it, but now I'm thinking I should try to talk my father into letting me do the same thing at his place.

Here's someone's helmet cam footage from rhw novice class. I'm #27.

And the experts doing it properly:
