2006 klx, who makes a low seat?
This model year is not represented on the Seat Concepts or the Corbin websites. Seat Concepts hasn't written back to me and my email to Corbin bounced. Anybody have recommendations? Thanks

I have a 2007 that i wanted to get a low seat for as well. Looked everywhere and contacted seat concepts. They said I would have to send them my seat!? Makes no sense. They have the foam for 06 - 07s so why can't they just use a denser foam and shave it down a little. Idk. Needless to say, I still have the stocker on it.

Personally I will be going to a reliable local automobile upholster to have my seat recut to have a step-up seat like some motocrossers run. I want a flatter front seating, which will make a minor step up to the back portion, otherwise there'd be no padding there.
Sorry, wrong bike, but I couldn't find any done for the KLX. I want flatter in the rider area then a step for when I have to put my butt back there going down steep off road hills. I first saw this on Ricky Carmichael's CRF450 when he was riding Honda. He actually had the seat cut and the subframe lowered, but the main idea was pretty much What I'm saying. Space for movement, but then some padding in the back. Besides, I kind of liked the look.
Here's a seat made for KTMs that has the longer flatter areas
I see Seat Concepts makes the Honda kit, but not for the KLX in this style. I'll have the work done locally. It will both be less cost and I have control by seeing the foam before upholstering.

I am going with Renazco Dual Sport Seats - RackSpace. I talked to James there on the phone and he was knowledgeable and knows the bike. I am going to have them make me a black seat with their logo, Renazco Racing, embroidered in Kawi green. They put me on the schedule and then I will have to send them my seat, but it will just be for a week.

Price on their work seems definitely strong! I'll stick with the locals who've done the street rods, custom stuff and concours restoration. Significantly less and I can check out the padding cut before upholstering. Of course I am also familiar with their work.

Seat Concepts made me a low cut seat for my 2009 KLX250s. I like it and would do it again. They will make just about any seat you desire. I contacted them through ADVrider. Not sure why they haven't got back to you yet. Good Luck.

Seat Concepts wrote back to me saying that they do make a seat for the 2006, but it is stock height. I guess the 2006 is different from later bikes? Anyway, I've got mine ordered from Ren. and will let you know how it is.
