2 quick tire questions
At how many miles did your stock 605's get tossed? I'm at 2100 miles and the front is worn but still OK, the rear should be changed.
Question 2:
I noticed the stock dunlop 605's are 4.60
I'd like to go bigger, maybe some kenda270's 5.10 or Cheng Shin C858's 5.10
Will these fit easily? I changed a tube on the front for the first time and while a little tedious, it wasn't too hard. The rear is what worries me.
The Dunlop 606's look good too, but I'm on a budget at the moment.
This 5.10 # reflects width? Or height?
OK, I lied, a 3rd question:
When changing the rear, if the old tube is still good, should I use it? I have a brand new Bikemaster tube which fits up to 5.10

2,000 miles, tossed the Dunlops and installd Kenda K270's. I have now 5,500miles (3.5k miles on the Kenda) and they can still go some ways further.
The 5.10 # reflects width, and the 5.10 are actually smaller than a 4.50. When buying tires, check the overall diameter. A 4.50x18 will be close to stock size (a tad bigger) and is the size I currently run as a Kenda K270. Also 120/90x18 will work as the same size.
When changing tires, it's best to replace the tube as well.

Somewhere beyond 3300. Starting to wear but plenty of life left in them. Mostly street miles so they've been inflated plenty. I'm gonna upgrade as soon as funds allow, though. Dunlop D606 all the way.

I tossed mine at less than 500 miles.
Get a 80/100 or a 90/90 for the front.
100/100 is the cross over size for a klx300, I am running a 110/100 which is a little larger a 120/100 will also fit, but I think its a little over kill for klx although quite a few on here are running it.

Replaced front and rear at about 1,200 miles with Dunlop D606 and Moose Racing Tubes. Now running only about 10 psi in front and back and have so much better grip both on and off the road. It was a 100% improvement over stock. I recommend this settup as it was discussed in previous forums about the best tire on the market and Rocky Mt has the best prices I can find.

I have just shy of 4000 on my stock tires and they still have some life left. The far mojarity of these miles have been street. I am thinking about buying the D605 again since they have lasted so long. Might go with the D606, but I am thinking the D605 is a better fit for me since I have a 100 mile commute every day.

Mine were the Dunlop 603's and I got 3000 miles out of the first rear tire, Then I went to the 606 on the back, got another 3000 out of that 606 and then I switched to the Kenda K 270, I am currently at 10,100 and the Kenda still has 60% left, the original front 603 I ended up with 6000 miles on it and it still had 30% left, I now have the Kenda K 270 on the front. I might go back to the 606 after the rear one wears out on this bike.....if it ever wears out. I just don't like how it does bumping over logs or going through slippery stuff. The 606 is a great tire in my opinion.
