Damm,
I bought the P4 thinking it was the quietest of the group & I failed to read about the spark arrestor being able to be used with the P3 tip & never even gave it a thought. All my parts are sitting in the shipping box. When I installed the P4 tip I see it leaves a big gap, so I left it out. I may have to see if I can get some fine mesh ss screen & make my own spark arrestor.

I have not really noticed any decrease in performance with the P3. I rode it for a few days with no tip but it really is too loud for my neighborhood. The P3 tip is a perfect fit for me and I like the sound. Sounds like a real motorcycle but not obnoxious. (and doesn't sound like a lawn mower like the stock one did)

I emailed 2Bros and they said their dyno chart was on a stock bike with no mods before or after the exhaust....interesting, huh ? That had to have been too lean considering how lean it is from the factory. I have the same jetting as you, JB1, and runs awesome.
Not sure where Mr. 'Guest' is coming from in his comments....as far as a full slip on, anyone who's been around knows a smaller pipe diameter results in a flatter torque curve available at a lower rpm assuming matching cams/intake, and onthis stock motor, it is the truth. Full systems are for those whoride wide open all the time but unless you have a big bore or cams, you will lose a substantial amount of low end torque on this stock motor with a bigger pipe. Trail riders who only open it up here and there will benefit by staying with a slip on system. As far a being park legal, the spark arrestor and USFS sticker on the exhaust, along with a P3 powertip that is as quiet as a Q4, makes it as 'park legal' as anything else out there. I've been checked by a MD park ranger and was allowed to keep on truckin'.
