2-5-12 Muddy ride
Since my KLX is in pieces my buddy offered up his WR450 for me to be able to ride yesterday. Then i took his KTM 400 with studs. I dont know how many people where there, who they all were, what they all rode, how many laps we did.... orange everywhere.... Was very muddy. JimmyC lost his muffler for his two stroke.... On to the important stuff....

Saturday i got the exhaust studs out of the head and new ones installed. Carb is all rejetted. Just waiting for the cylinder and piston back then she can go all back together.

How did you like the autoclutch? What was it like riding an autoclutch bike compared to a manual clutch?

The autoclutch was good for me in this instance because it helped me get used to the power, i could concentrate more on balance and throttle. Honestly i wouldnt want to have an auto clutch. A few times i got a little squirely and got off into the woods, i couldnt just pull the clutch in and drift backwards, i could have put it in neutral. It was a pain a few times. Honestly it was too much power for the woods we were riding. It was weird not pulling the clutch in to switch gears or stop. strange. I like a normal clutch better.

Riding in muddy conditions is better than no riding at all Now, tell us your first impressions when you get back to riding the KLX, after going with 400-450 class bikes.
I'm surprised to see you have no snow at this time of the year. It's in PA, no?
