1st enduro ever

The KDX200/220 is a great enduro bike. They have surprising torque for a smaller bore 2-stroke, but they still have a strong 2-stroke punch...and retaining reasonably light weight. During my enduro days I rode open class bikes, 250's, and 200's. The 200 Kawasaki was actually the most fun bike. I'm not sure how your local rules are on the enduro circuit, but here a 220 will put you into the 250 class, so you might check on that if it's important to you.

Man I would love to enter in to an enduro or hare scramble. I dont care if I placed last.
Competitive riding like that make you learn a hell of allot faster although you may bust your *** more often.

My 1st enduro was on my klx- at one point I thought my gas tank was leaking- it was not - it was the sweat pouring out of my helmet! But a great time.
I think every one should try to ride one or enter a local hare scramble. Both are tons of fun and 99% of the people are great and willing to help out if you need it.
I run the NEOC hare scrambles with my son, (in NJ) they do a great job and it is a family event.
Great photo's

It was near Truro....and although the bike performed really well..ie no breakdowns or flats (and no rimlocks).....I really feel that a lighter bike would be much more suited...and a few more horses certainly wouldn't hurt. Like I said earlier, this wasn't an enduro from a series or a club, but just a private event that was put together to measure the interest for a possible enduro organization to maybe form a series of races over the next couple of years. And you really do become a much better rider through an event like this because you push yourself a little harder and learn from the other riders that may have passed you (or you caught up to). I know I have never rideen that hard before...and ironically I never wiped out the entire day...(that's not to say I didn't have a few sketchy moments though!!!!) Thanks for the positive feedback...I can't wait to see if more local bike clubs start offering the same events.
