Default 1st drag strip trip

Had a customers car at the strip last Saturday so I decided to bring the bike. Brought the video cam but the batteries crapped out. Oh well next time.
I've done a lot to this bike so its far from stock all my runs were within a tenth so I just posted the best one. I'm happy with the results and I am now done with the performance mods of the bike.

Today we got about 4 inches of snow so the bike will go to bed for awhile now.

Yeah, it was in the upper 15s if I remember corectly. Mildly modified bike.

That is impressive, 14.2 is fast.

Under 2 sec. 60ft. is petty quick, nice reaction time too!

Maybe gearing could get you under 14 sec?

What was rpm at traps?

That is hauling the mail for a single thumper, great job!

By extra batteries for next trip, need video...

Awesome run! If you don't mind me asking, how much did it sent you back to shave off almost 3 seconds from stock? I've thought about starting a thread which would compile performance times/dyno readings on bikes with varying levels of mods. I'd like to pick up something like a G-tech so I could get performance #s after each mod, if I don't do them all at once.

I build motors for a living (drag motors) and have done all my motor mods with some help from some of my vendors and friends. You wouldn't want to know total cost of all of this even if o could put a dollar amount on it.

Your right I probably wouldn't want to know, all I can afford to put in the bike is fuel right now. Did you make your run at Milan? I work near you--94 and Southfield.

I don't think gearing down would affect the speed, I see you went to a 15/40 from the stock 14/42. With my 14/47 with the '09 closer 6th gear, I'm pretty sure it'd be pegged wide open before a quarter mile, I'd be banging the rev limiter in 6th... just speculating... maybe i'll make a run down the street and try my theory this week

My bike doesn't have a rev limiter. My tac doesn't work either it reads low. I have a new one haven't put it on yet though.

14.2 is really a nice run for the little KLX. A lot of the big B-body Mopars I work on are right in that range. Our mild 440 Charger runs 14 flat, street tires and trim.

Are you on street tires or a slick? Any front end lift? What do you think the rpm's are at the line?
