I put a 46 tooth JT Sprocket on my KLX-250S and left the front sprocket stock. This bumped up the revs about 500 RPM overall. With the free mods, this will help you off road without killing on road use. Be sure to get the 108 link chain. You can also mount a 15 tooth front sprocket to return to stock ratios for street use.

Hey Tiger welcome to the forums. But dude you gotta introduce yourself first so we can get an idea what you're all about. I assume you are talking about sprockets on the bike. A lot of us are running the 13-45 setup which works great if you want low end on the trails, but don't mind losing some top end speed. Again welcome and tell us a little about yourself over here.

I'm running 14/47... almost the same as 13/45, maybe a tick less off-roadish, but its great for the trails we ride.... hindsight 20/20 I would have gotten a 48-tooth (pretty much same as 13/45).

what rpm are u getting at 60 mph? im still using stock and run at 6000 rpm at this s peed. I dont want too much rpm when i upgrade in future.

I think i will be going with a 45 tooth then. Only looking for around 500 rpm more. Lotsa hills and wind around here and i have to drop to 5th gear often but 7000+ rpm is really to buzzy for those long uphill grades. Thanx for the info.

I have done a ~130 miles each way in a single day and the buzz wasn't nearly as bad as the seat.

I'm running a few hundred RPM less at similar road speeds. 55MPH true ground speed isn't bad but, I do run a good handle bar which doesn't buzz as much as the factory model.
