135 miles before reserve brought a tear to my eye
I was stoked to go 135 miles before I hit the reserve today. I used to only make it 75 miles before having to turn on the reserve. I love the new tank and extra miles!

Fuel Light
Correct they do - but I still rely on the trip meter to let me know when to start looking.

I get to about 80-85 miles before I have to switch to reserve, ever since I had to switch to reserve around 75 when I was on the highway in the left lane, I am always cautious and try to gas up when I get to 50-65 miles haha, I want to get a larger tank but the price just seems a little steep

I used to get 120km before reserve too. BUT, two weeks ago I went for a camping trip and something strange happened. We got struck by a storm and decided to head back to civilization. We were 175 kms away from the nearest town. I was afraid I'd be short on gas. Believe it or not, with the bike all packed (50lbs of gear), my 200lbs self + gear, wind drafting me everywhere, 15 deg Celsius, forest service road all the way back and an average speed of 75km/h, I was surprised to hit reserve at 150km. At first I thought I had forgotten to switch the petcock back to ON, but no. I seriously don't understand why I get the best mileage on this bike only in the worst conditions, because it happened another time with the same setup and really strong headwind, but on the highway.
On a side note, I really consider selling my bike next year for two main reasons, and the need two look for fuel at every 100kms is one of them.
