130 vs 120 rear...will the 130 actually work?
#21
Seriously though, even with my 14/47 gearing, I find a taller tire would just about require me to lower the gearing even more. I could care less about looks, and the 100/100 puts all the power to the ground with no loss in traction, even in loose and/or sketchy conditions. The KLX lays its power down smoothly and efficiently. I don't slide or skid excessively even in some of the loose conditions found out in Moab and such. And I want the ability to break the rear tire loose in certain conditions at specific times to square off corners and such. People are different, however, and if it's more about looks, I might suggest getting some SF wheels to really obtain the Mattel Hot Wheels effect.

LOL!...upon rereading that, it sounds like an insult, but it wasn't intended that way. Look at these pics of a friend's WR250X...like the KLX SF...with some huge Kenda 270's on the motard wheels. It did look kinda cool, and it worked fairly well. Still, not my cup-o-tea. On the pic from the rear...the WRX is in the middle...you can see what a 100/100 on my bike looks compared to his big 17" motard tire.

130 to big for me.
Ive got a 130 606 on mine and its to much tire, suffers on the highway and cant slide the back end around much in the dirt.works good in sand tho.
Im running 13/45 gearing.real close to rubbing so rocks might dent up the swingarm also.Hope this helps.
