Yep, Biggy..
While not a perfect match-up - the dyno operator started the runs at different points, etc - the Blue TRQ curve proves "Biggy" over same mod combo sans MCM..
The actual performance difference is greater than this chart shows as my carb ( CVK) setup was NOT optimized at this point in my research/tuning ( Blue MCM lines are on my bike ) AND the other bike was running the final lidless CVK setup..

Uh... Harley owned Buell and had Buell make the infamous bike of mediocrity, the Buell Blast 500 single... thumper from Harley.

I think it's irresponsible to potential new KLX buyers that may be reading these threads for research purposes to say that these bikes with torque figures in the teens have big torque anywhere in the rev range regardless of MCM or not. You're making these engines out to be something they're not.

So let me remind you that this universe/forum revolves around the KL250 / 300..
In this realm, which you are in, a 22% (plus) increase in TRQ (IIRC), is "BIGGY" because the ONLY comparison to such an increase in this realm is a stock KLX..
You probably can't understand this.. and that's ok..

I didn't say anything bad myself. I rode with a guy who rode the wheels off one on a dual sport ride. He couldn't find anything else when trying to get a dual sport. It actually impressed me what he could do with it. Sliding like a pro flat tracker on a pea gravel corner. Wouldn't have traded my KLX650 for it, but it was pretty impressive for as lousy a rep as they have among riders.
