To cross reference the sprocket with the Honda fit item you need the sprocket that fits all late model Honda XR650L bikes.

Sweet! I'll be flagging cops in no time! Hey, any thoughts on raising the number of teeth on the rear sprocket as opposed to the counter shaft? Hmmm... after typing that I'll bet that would require some extra chain length. Never mind.

yep, you'll need two more lengths at least to go 13/45; been there done that. I doubted what others told me on here and wanted to see myself. Needless to say, I bought the 108 link chain but then hated it cuz it would hardly hit 65 mph with that gearing and tbh, the power delivery wasn't all that different than the 13/42. It (13/42) seems the most versatile for on/off road use. But highway use, you'll want at least the stock gearing.

Yeah, I hear ya, 09KLX. I'm on the fence on this one. Part of me wants that torque with the 13/42 but I still need to ride the bike 60-70 miles on the freeway to get to my good off-road riding areas. I REALLY like the stock gearing on this bike. I'd just like some more umph to get the front end lighter for the off-road stuff. Have you done a 331 kit or are you stock? I tell ya, I'll bet the 14/42 with Bill Blue's 331 kit is the ticket. Not yet, though. Heck the 13 cs is $15 bucks. If I don't like it I can always put the 14 back on.

I'm the same way, at least a 30 minute ride to the nearest trails. You could always bring the 13 tooth and change into that. Then when you're ready to hit the road, go back to the 14. How much time and what tools are needed?

lol, nah it's not that easy.

I'm stock cylinder. the stock gearing is doable off-road, but the 13 is so good for low-end acceleration and wheelies. installing the 13-tooth sprocket to a stock bike is the best bang for the buck mod you can do imo. it's noticeable immediately how the power is rearranged.

AND we had to do it in the dirt with a power grinder, while holding the sprocket in a vise.

Good Luck!
Well then you bought the wrong one, I have the right Honda one on my bike and it fits perfect
