Default 13/45

Hello all I know this is an old subject but i am running the 13/45 sprocket combo now. Just wanted to report on it "I LOVE IT" what a improvement once again over the 13/42 i was running. Now i know first hand what a16tony has been going on about. I could never go back to the stock 14/42. The front wheel will come off the ground now[sm=drooldude.gif]. FYI the stock 106 chain will not work with this combo you must go 108. Now some carb work is in the near future

You guys have me all excited about the new sprocket. I have mine on order and it should be here any day now. I was gonna wait and try out the front and see how I like it before I go and get the rear. However all the talk and excitment about the 13/45 combo I thing that I just might go ahead and order the rear and the chain now and enjoy the rush like everone else. Let ya all know how it turns out.

Hey Deej, yes the chain gaurd still fits with the 45 it looks like you might be able to sqeeze a 47 pos. 48 under the gaurd but i dont rec. it. (i will have to agree with a16tony this should have been the gearing from factory 13/45)

I am showing 6800 rpms at 60 mph and about 7800rpm at 70 mph and much better pull. Sixth gear is useable now.

Is it possible to add links to the OEM chain? I know new ones aren't that expensive but I'm curious.

If you have a buddy which had to shorten a chain and the pin sizes match, it can be done. I've puchased three different brands of 520 O and X ring chain, each had a different size master. The pins are different daimeters. I suppose I could section out my stock chain and sell two link add-on kits [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
