I myself want to do these mods but i am not sure i want to go thru this icing thing, what to do, I thought for sure you had it licked when you found the water in your air box. [:@]
I think you will have the same issue, my mods did not change the high volume of air flow across the little carb. Need to stop road spray from getting the filter wet. I've used the stock, hi-flow and no snorkel.
I thought it was cured when I properly oiled the filter, definitely reduced the problem. I going to turn the hi-flow snorkel 180 degrees, just like a speed boat would do.
Have you checked the filter again to see if you have the moisture issue as before, and if so there is a drian on the air box, is it obstructed?
I will do an evaluation tonight. I did remove the little beaker that is attached to it. I don't believe there is an accumulation of water, just vapor which seeps through the filter. That little carb could be a larger diameter and would slow the velocity a bit, less super cooling.
