A mile or so from the house I go through the only gate on the ride.

Soon I'm on Pena Blanca Lake road going to one of three small lakes in southern AZ.

From the lake I get onto Ruby Rd.

Which takes me to the ghost town of Ruby, now in private hands who wants to charge to wander around the town. No thanks.

Ruby Road takes me to the town of Arivaca, and heading east from there I cross I-19, go north on the frontage road, go right on Elephant Butte Road, right on Mt. Hopkins Road, and finally right on FS 143.

I get to a saddle.

From here the road gets steeper, more narrow and more fun to ride, so I forget about pictures. The road widens out shortly after you pass what's left of the town of Alto - a decayed adobe post office.

10 more miles to home.

Sweet! Great pics! Funny when I saw your post title my first thought was (this dude must have a aftermarket seat) sure enough looks to be so.

Who's is it and how do you like it. After 40 miles I'm done with the stock one.

Its my DIY attempt to duplicate a Sargent. See: https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ication-42906/

I'm sure it isn't as good as a Sargent, but it is much better than the OEM.

100 mile ride, how did you plan on getting fuel if needed? That's about the range of the 2gal tank, don't see any spare fuel tanks at all. I'd be panicking at about 80 miles with no spare fuel can.

I should have filled in Arivaca, but I thought I'd find gas when I got to I-19, I didn't! I was on reserve by the time I got home. The next day when I filled up, found that the mpg checked 58.

My set-up is DJ, stage 2 with the snorkle removed and a 13T front sprocket.
