10 Buck Windshield on a 2010 KLX250S
Much warmer now!
Heat gun does a great job bending the plastic! Got some black plastic covers to hide the screws just haven't put them on yet. The only "damage" to the bike was the very top piece of plastic that I drilled four holes in.
I used a piece of "pex" plastic plumbing to support the windshield that I heated and bent into this shape then ny-tied to the forks. This one was just a test part. The next on will not cover the turn signal indicator. All screws get changed to stainless and painted black including the pex. Think it will all just blend into the dash and disappear.
Plexiglass cost 4 bucks. Screws and screw covers were about 5. With tax about 10 bucks.

I'm sorry...$10 windshields belong over on the KLR650 forums. The high brow folk on this forum use only $100 windshields and Grey Poupon.
LOL!...but seriously, nice work there. I'm not a windshield guy for the most part, but that's a pretty functional piece there...and looks better than $10.

Regarding the KLR tightwad comment: I resemble that remark! You should see how I have ratchet straps through the ears of the IMS tank, tied to the Bash-plate.
I like the windshield...going to keep a full-face helmet on though, right? Any way to blunt the top edge? Maybe a rubber or plastic tube cut longways and glued to it? It would make it much safer in the event of an accident.
