Im preppin the bike in a couple hours for 2nites drag racing...

I got no friends and will have to get someone to use my camera for video...The track a few years back was real sticky....With a street bike I had to launch at 4500rpmz or it would stall...I aint launchin the klx at 5k + though...So might be a slower time then possible.....Im not gonna beat her too bad...Im looking for a 16 second run....

Well, if he ends up with that, he's not getting a good start or shifting properly. A stock DRZ400 will post an end time in the low 14's. With someone who knows what they are doing, I would put the KLX about one second behind that.

His ET should be somewhere in the mid to high 15's if done properly.

Wow...What a blast....The Bike loved it...

After an hour drive I yanked the mirrors off for tech inspection...Yank my travel bag off the rear.....Stage on the line and opppsie....They bike goes almost straight in the air....Drop it back down and run a 17.64......Come right back around....Again...Almost 180 degress up to kiss the sky and run a 17.60......My last run cause I wanted to still drive it home I got a 16.93 with a 5.73 light...First time I kept the frontend down completely....

If I ran a couple more times I coulda got a 15.9-16.2 maybe with stock gearing.....The 16.93 run I used 6th gear...The two early runs I was still in 5th....Most of my shifts were at 9k rpms....

Just one junky video......If anyone can put it on youtube....I cant enlarge the screen with my photo bucket account..

Best run/last run

r/t 5.73
60' 2.340
330' 6.693
1/8mile 10.505
mph 63.13
1000' 13.927
1/4mile 16.939
mph 74.05

Oops...My video header isnt working...Sorry

Sweet. Yeah based on what you've said and that run video, I'm pretty sure you could break into the 15s with some more practice.

I love the fact that your run is against a sport bike! I don't know why that tickles me.
Good run mate.
