haha, here IG goes again, ruining a thread with his big claims.. ALLLLLLL talk and no action. "THe sprocket fits, I know it" even though you havn't even fit the sprocket, it's still in the package.. haha, lol!
And the 09' is better than our 06, 07 models out of the box, or more powerful!
I'd belive you, if you wern't so full of BS and make such rediculous claims ALL THE TIME!!!
He just likes to talk like he knows what he's talking about to make the one's who don't know better think more of him.. haha.. A legend in his own mind.

Why not just get it done so you can help out. It takes all of 5 minutes to do.

I can't keep friends and neighbors out of my garage when I'm tinkering......they steal my beer and offer ridiculous advise..lol. But they keep things fun.
Hey Cosmic did the dealer come thru....post results!

my dealer is f'n useless. I have another local guy that took care of the rejet. took him 2 hours. I hope that is normal.
Anyway, bike runs outstanding. I can not compare it to anyting but my mtn. bike. Seriously though, the bike runs phenomenal. Removed airbox lid, uni airfilter, rejet, and full muzzy. I swear it is like a new bike. My pal has a drz 400 stock and it does not touch that power but I honeslty am so stoked now.
I was quite dismayed when I left the dealer with a $4800 kitten on wheels. Now I have a damn workhorse. Also, love the bike on the dirt. so fun.
Thanks to all for the advise. I did hold off on teh 13T for now because last minute I saw a post that said I would loose top end. I am afraid that I willbe on the highway in 6th doing 50 at 7,000.

nah, you won't lose topend power, you'll just be running a little higher rpms. I just did my 13-tooth fronttonight and 60mph is now around 6800 rpms. The digital tach makes it tough to see exactly but somewhere near 7000rpms at 60mph. Don't fret because on my '06, I hit an indicated 90mph with the 13-toother. You need to do it, I had forgotten how much this mod did. I knew it was effective, but wow. It accelerates uphill now much better. Still won't hold a wheelie into 2nd but not too bad. The BigGun really hit my '06 hard in the midrange. I can seriously tell I have the stock exhaust since tonight I was trying to ride some wheelies and it just wouldn't hold the frontend up. Since you installed the muzzy with the huge header, you'll need the sprocket to offset the claimed loss of low-end with the larger header.

I prefer the 13 tooth over the 14 actually. Provided I don't pop another tube tonight I'll be riding with the 13 tooth and street tires. With the 14 tooth and Vortex throttle just a snap of the wrist would bring the front tire up. Pulling on the bars at the same time it would really lift it, I'm excited to see how it pulls with the 13tooth/sticky tire combo.
Oh, BTW, it sounds like the 09 6th gear isn't as far away from the 06 6th gear as I thought based on 09klx's numbers.
