Hi Eric,

BIB, OK now I'm follow... no problem...

This morning I vent up to the Kawa-shop and told them to take away the seat strap and the airbox lid and then put back the seat again, they looked at me as if I was crazy, but when I started the bike and gave it some gas they got a different look on their faces together with me. 10.5k without any problem and well out on the road it seams like I get a quicker response from the engine when I twist the handle. Now I'm sure that it is possible to gain more hp's out of this engine.

I also stopped and talked to a friend who have been working with racing engines for over 20 years and I told him what I just had done and according to him this should no be any problem as long as the air filter still is in place and kept clean. He also suggested that the engine would run even better if a racing filter would be installed. K&N filter for the KLX 08' might work. I will check if there are any difference between the 08' and the 09' filters.

Petter,

Sounds great! I would have loved to seen their expressions too! Of course they would just freak if they heard my 2BR wide open. I'll try and get the video posted of the 2BR @ 10k with and without the P4 tip which is to lower the noise a few DB's. Again the audio isn't that great as my settings were wrong, I was trying to eliminate some wind noise that gets intrusive when i have the POV1 mounted on my Prado in the desert.

The air filters are the same I believe. Don't have my softcopy of the parts list handy at work so can't do a direct verification. Many a thread in here on these subjects so if you have the time do some searching here and see what you can gleam. I learned a lot here before I bought my KLX so I had a good idea on what I was getting into. Too many falang in LOS that complain about the KLX had expectations of grandeur and never researched the bike.

Sent u a PM also...I think we may have hijacked this thread a little! Sorry guys!

Eric
