Hi . Long time kaw rider first time forum poster.
have an 09 klx250s and its red. Trying to find green side covers, rear fender, and black side number plate. Seems impossible!! Also prefer OEM. Bought an aftermarket green front fender. Prefer the look of the OEM side covers and rear fender tho and cant seem to find green ones.. is 09 an odd year or something? Can find 04 to 07 parts everywhere..

Having difficulty finding aftermarket plastics to fit 09 even...
any body know if kx tank shrouds will bolt directly on a klx? The bolts seem to be in similar location bit not sure..

 

I want to say I read where someone had located some aftermarket '09 panels sourced from Japan, but I've never seen any at any of the regular sources. I doubt any of the major panels from other bikes could be made to fit. Ebay or 'new' are your two main sources and neither one is cheap.

One thing I've found is that even though the body panels are the same from '09 -'18.... different years may have different prices, and one website that had cheap side panels will have expensive shrouds, while another has cheap shrouds and expensive side covers.

I find it best to figure out the exact part number for each panel you want, then google it and find the cheapest in-stock source.

 

Good tip!! I'm gonna try that out. Guess if that doesn't work I'm gonna have to break out the $$!. Eh... luckily I have a cousin that makes vinyl graphics so I can save some money there. The graphics alone are crazy expensive.
any idea why acerbis or UFO make nothing for the klx250s? Did they not sell many? Would seem like a 9 year span of the same parts would be easier to find.

 

AliExpress has cheap aftermarket KLX plastics. If your worried about fading you could clearcoat them

 

They have a lot for 94- 07. Nothing for an 09.

LOL.. love the 'shopped' in bolts on the tank shrouds...

If the plastic is any good. that's about half the price of OEM (assuming both sets are left and right pairs)

 

Holy s#%* bendies you did it!!! I spent an hour on that site this morning and couldn't find them. And many hours on other sites. Gonna buy em. I'll give a report on the quality once I get them.
