Default 07 rotors don't work on an 09.

Just though I'd give that heads up. The bolt holes on the rotor are too small for 2009 bolts and hub. I've wasted over $100 on wrong parts trying to do brakes on this stupid POS over the last three weeks. Factory parts from here on out. No more guessing or going by other people's word of what will and won't fit. Lesson learned. No bike for the third weekend in a row, and I'm missing out watching the national enduro on Sunday now.

If you're doing brakes on a 2009, BUY FROM KAWASAKI.

If the holes are on center and just a bit small, go to your local machine shop and have him put the disk on a drill press (assuming you don't have a drill press?) and make the holes the correct diameter.

Sounds like a 5 min fix to me?

If you lived near by, I would tell you to bring the disc and a six pack over and I would hook you up

Sorry to hear that mate. Care to be any more specific on brand that you bought, and whether you are talking about front, rear, or both rotors?

Reason I ask is that I have put and 07 KLX300 rotor on my front wheel without a problem - think it was a tusk. The rear is a problem though as the 2009 model rotor is larger than prior year models.

I agree...if there are no alignment issues and no inner flange issues, I'd drill it.

The rotors (front this is) have a lugged, recessed mounting surface, and it is significantly smaller on the 07 Tusk rotor that I ordered compared to the stock 09. I sent it back and have an EBC rotor coming... Its been almost a month since I rode because of wrong brake parts.

The enduro was GREAT I'll post vids and pics later.
