Hi everyone, I just bought an 07 D-Tracker and I've joined up in an effort to find out more about the bike.

Today I noticed that there is a water line running from the right front radiator hose around the front of the engine and up into the carb apparently before it connects to the back of the cylinder.

I'm guessing it has something to do with emissions. But it looks like it makes taking the carb off a huge pain.

Can I do away with it without throwing the computer off etc? The carb is buried behind a wall of plumbing and wiring.

Speaking of the carb; it looks like there is an idle mix adjustment screw in front of the carb bowl. If so, I need to richen it up a bit. As it is now, I need to use the choke momentarily when starting after sitting only 30 min or so even in the hot weather in the Phils

Next question, does anyone know the oil change refill capacity for this bike? I don't have a new oil filter yet, and it may be sometime before I can get one. If the refill capacity depends on whether or not you're changing the oil filter, I'd need to for when not changing the oil filter.

I may take the oil filter out and take it to the local Kaw dealer, but selection will be limited-I am an American in the Philippines and there are not a lot of parts for bikes not ever sold here as new previously..

Read the stickies above and download the manual. Oil change without filter change about 1.5-2 qt watch the sight glass by rear brake pedal, use 10w-40.
