Phsyically, both 06 & 07 are going to be the same. The 06 might give a little more trouble since its the first year of the KLX. Then again, I could be wrong. My 06 runs great and gets constant 65mpg in any traffic conditions.

sorry I looked at my bill of sale today and it was 4599$ without my T,T,T, fees.....35 hp???? maybe in death valley on a very cold day that never happened yet......I was thinking in the 26hp range.maybe with the mods i have it's 35 hp but that's pushing it at the rear wheel.Either way I'd pretty much pay out the butt for this bike as it's so reliable and tractable and fun....A true dual sport....If only it came with a bigger gas tank and their was enough room for one even bigger than the Clarke tank i'd be truly content....range annoys me on this and that's about it.

Don't forget about Alaska ... and I heard there's a dealership on Easter Island who's selling for $3,200 OTD. Oops.

And we are all satisfied with our bike no matter what we paid.
