I will go to my Kawie dealer in the morning and take the one of the 09sf they have and see if the 07 will fit? He treats me good cause I treat him good, too good!

Unless someone knows before I go.

Oh it's morning already, didn't even realize it, got to get some sleep.

Thumbs down 06-09 seats are not interchangable

Sorry no go.

I tried to make it fit but the gas tanks are shaped different. 09 seat is flatter up front and 07 wraps around side of tank more. Makes sense now because we knew the tanks were different between the years, so the seats are too.

The back portion of the pans look the same just the fronts different.

09 seat straps are bolted to frame, 07 are bolted to bottom of seat.

09 took 8 bolts to get off seat, only 2 for 07.

Good Luck!

Maybe just strap a pillow to the frame for a month? Ha Ha

Thanks Will. Only hope for me on this front is if IMS makes a tank that fits both bikes.

my 09 only takes 2 bolts to get the seat off, or im way to high on medical cannabis. from what ive seen, i think an 09 seat will fit a 06-07, but not the other way around, but whats the point really? maybe if you have a acerbis tank on an 09, it might work with the 06-07, which would get rid of that gap where the seat would be, but for some reason i really like the 09s seat. its firm but not overly, and grippy but not like super glue.

I took a seat off a new 09 250sf. I had to remove the 2 side covers first to get to the 2 bolts that hold on the seat strap to remove the seat completely. Is the 09 s model different than the sf? Maybe I was too high on homegrown?

I think the 09 may fit the 07 but he wanted the 07 to fit the 09.

Yeah I was looking for a seat to have custom built so I am not bikeless if I want custom seat.

My 09S did not have a seat strap and I cant remember haveing to remove one from the GF's SF but I am sure it does not have one now.

Ok was on the kawy site and looked at the 09 & 10 250s and 250sf, they both have seat straps that are bolted to the frame from the side. See for yourself, click on seat.

The 07 doesn't have seperate straps that bolt to the frame, they bolt under the seatpan.

Two totally different seats those SOB
