*Warning* Magnetic Drain Plug
I purchased a magnetic drain plug for my KLX from Ebay several months ago from:

I installed the plug and all was well for several oil changes; just a little fuzz on the end each time.
Last night I decided to change from Mobil-1 MXT4 to Repsol 4W-40 Synthetic 4T and when I removed the magnetic drain plug the tip was gone, The little magnetic tip (looks like a pellet) is somewhere inside the motor.
The tip appeared to be just glued in to a hole that was drilled in the end of the plug, I had always handled the plug with care and did nothing that should have caused this.
I'll start pulling the motor apart to locate the item before it does some damage.
My guess is that there are good quality and poor quality mag plugs, I must have gotten one of the latter.

Wow that sucks man... good luck finding the piece... its funny how something so simple and cheap is soooo important to a motor, say if the whole plug vibrated out..... lol let us know what happens, and take pics

ORIGINAL: boxermachine
Try sticking your stock plug on a big speaker magnet for a day or so.

Or try wrapping some heavy guage wire arround it & ground out on the pos/neg of a car battery
