$20 rack extension

$20 rack extension
I made this today to add a little more cargo usability for longer trips.
started with a $12 poly cutting board from walmart:
cut 2 corners off and notched it around the tool lit:
bought some stainless screws and 4 rubberized stainless straps for mounting, $5:
Tips: cut with a slow tool speed and course blade or the heat will want to melt it back together, I used taper head screws and chamfered the mount holes for flush fit. My multiple bungee holes were 1/2", the rope is just an experiment not sure if I'll leave it, thought it might accommodate wider straps better. May cut wide slots, and lose the rope. I cut the corners off so i could still get a hand on the rack handles to lift the bike, which i can but may cut a little more later if it's problem.

Great idea!! That is why I love being a member of forums. Do you think I could use this in place of the little bag back there? Just mount it to the fender. Don't need to carry much back there
