RE: $$$
Speaking of insurance, it's not required here in Washington State, although I will be getting it anyway. I looked up just liability, since I have good health insurance, and the bike would just have to wait until I could afford to fix her. On-line at progressive or some other place now I can't remember which one, I could get 10,000-25,000 for right around $7.00 a month. I know what you are thinking that's too cheap. Yes but remember it's just to cover someone else's car or store front window that I would plow into, (not actually planning that) so it just covers the other person/property. My insurance carrier for our home, boat, and both cars doesn't carry MC insurance. I still think it should be required here, but the logic must be that it's hard to get money out of a dead person. Sorry I hate to think about that, but there are a lot more chances that we all take out there, but if you are really careful and use your head you can minimize them. I've been riding off and on on the roads since 82 when I first got me endorsement, and there have been a couple of close (closer than I wanted them to be) calls. I am still going to take the MC course when it becomes available. I think there is one an hour away. Does anyone know how long the course is, hrs, days? Later all.

mine was $5060.63 total but not counting tag/registration. I will transfer tags from XR650L just sold. Insurance will be next, guessing around $100/year???

Cant believe that its not require to have insurance, In long Island N.Y. if you get caught riding with out insurance its a $600 dollar fine and $35 dollars every day after that until you turn in your plates or get insurance..and your license is automatically suspended!! NY is very strict with driving with no insurance!!

RE: $$$
In Florida, you do not need insurance to register a motorcycle.
However, if you are involved in an accident and do not have insurance, you can lose your bike and be liable for the full amount of damages, even if it was not your fault!
Yes, I ride with insurance.

And the best offers I got where around $4,850 out the door. Will see, I'll let you no if they've kept there word on it. I Really don't like the factory brush guards and have read about how you guys have been having problems. Is there any that will go on without any problems? And where did you guys order those fold in mirrors. Those are gonna be a must... Thanks
