Default "Shark Fins"

Didn't want to hijack the show us your rotors thread.

Anyone have a "Shark Fin" on their KLX250s. I'd been told that you couldn't mount one on KLX's, appears to be false;

Our bike isn't listed but a few of it's siblings are on there, any info about fitting ours would be helpful.

I know Mooredan bought a Scott's fin for a KLX300 and it worked just fine. Iordered the samefin he did, but they sent me the wrong one. The box said KLX300, but the finwas for a different bike. The problem is I sent mine out to be powder coated before trying to install it, and now they won't take it back. So if you get one, make sure it fits right away.

Yeah, tell me about it! I got mine on sale for $89, and now I know why. [:@] Then I paid $35 to get it powder coated to boot - but hey, it looks cool on the shelf. Unfortunately there is no part number anywhere on it. When I called to return it, I asked them if they knew which one I actually got, and they had no clue.Scott's shows pictures of their fins on their website, but it seems that they show the same 2 or3 pictures for all of their applications. I could ebay it, but who would buy without knowing what it actually fits?

Thanks guys! (the search was crapin out on me last night)
Mooredan, does that thing "wrap" the front side of the rotor or does it just ride next to it?

And does anyone have a leed on the front one?

It doesn't wrap around, it just rides about 1/4" from the rotor.

I've kept my eye out fora fin for the front, but haven't seen one yet.
