Break In Period
Please ignore the fourm name, its a long story.
So im told in the manual to keep the bike under 4k rpm and for 1000km and under 6k rpm for 2000km... Anyone else find that allmost impossible in real life circumstances? And will that damage my bike if i ride it at 6k rpm at as low as 200km? I have to go that high or it sounds like the engine is struggling, im 170 lbs FYI

Your going to get alot of different answers...for me I took it easy for the first 100 miles, did a oil change, and than just rode it like normal...its been fine and will last a long time..you don't have to baby these...

You'll find more discussion on this on the KLX250 threads. A lot of us don't follow the manuf recommendations for break-in.
