After the master link on my chain broke, the chain wadded up in front of the transmission sprocket damaging the wires near that sprocket. The wires coming from the stator and from the pulser coil are both damaged. There is plenty of slack to cut out the damaged section and splice it back together. However, I am wondering if there is some unforeseen risk to doing this? Am I going to add extra resistance and damage something else on my bike? Should I get a new stator all together?
