What is the image size ?

What programs are the easiest to use for a rookie ?

How do you attach your new custom banner to your signature ?

120x400 is a good size

paintshop pro and photoshop are easy and powerful but not free. there are any number of free editers out there

to use it - upload it to your member gallery, or attach it to a post then after posting click the attachment, use the web address of the image and copy/paste it to your signature then put [img] infront of it and
[/img] after it without any spaces.

+1 on all but the last part, dont think hotlinking is allowed on this forum(could be wrong) also that eats the crap out of bandwidth and i would like it to stay nice and fast around hereif you host it on photobucket it is free and doesnt slow us down
