I've got an '03 vulcan 800A that I can't seem to get the steering to lock when I turn the key on the front right of the bike. I've tried turning the wheel to the right, left, straight, and it won't lock.

Any tips?

Don't have any experience on the Vulcans, but most of the bikes I've had have needed the wheel turned almost all the way to the left...not quite all the way, but just before full turn
