Here's some pics of the motor as of last week. Both the side covers are almost done now.

(lots of sanding, but no buffing!)

(not too bad for 600 grit and no polishing!)

Man, that powder coating turned out sweet!! You have probably heard this a thousand times, but I am sorry about your brother. We all owe a lot of thanks to not only all of our military personnel, but to their families as well. Keep truckin' on that thing, it's awesome..

Thank you for your condolences. I spend alot of time on the thing keeping my mind busy.

Anyways, here's some more pictures. I'm still waiting to get the motor done, but decided to throw a few things together to see how it will look.

No too shabby I guess, I really hope it's not going to be too much black.

I also forgot a few parts that I need, so I'll have to make another trip down to the dealer, but all in all, a pretty productive day!!

Doesn't look like there's too much black. Looking sharp. Those pics are making me want to tear down my bike and powder coat my frame. That's some serious hard work on all the polishing. With all that work, are you keeping the same wheels, powder coat them, polish 'em out maybe? Looking awesome...

The wheels are HYPER carbon fiber beadlocks, so no powder or polishing for them.

I think a good cleaning is probably in order though!! I'll stick with the same wheels being you can't buy anything better!

Thanks for the comments though, I'll keep you guys up to date!!!

Holy smokes! Every time you post pics, the more blown away I am by what you've done! That is going to be one heck of a 400 when you're done with it!

Well.......technically it's a 440 now......but who's counting. Quad MX allows up to 450cc's, so there's room to breathe.

I really appreciate the comment's guys!! It's alot of hard work (especially the polishing), but I'm sure in the end I'll feel like it's worth it!

Hopefully when I finally get to hit the track, I don't wreck it and have to start over!! (but hey that's part of the fun right?)

I don't know. That's an awful lot of fun!! HooHaa on the wheels my man. Those are sweet. Carbon Fiber bead locks. I don't think you can get much better than that. I was polishing the wheels on my truck a couple of weeks ago. I used the mother's polishing ball and Busch polish. Made it a lot easier and looks like chrome.
