I JUST BOUGHT A 2005 KFX 400 AND LOVE IT BUT I WAS WONDERING IF I GOT A GOOD DEAL OR IF THEY GOT THE GOOD DEAL. I GAVE $5300.00 WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

 

I would say you probably got an awesome deal on that considering the MSRP here in Canada is $8,799 (Cdn funds) (Kawasaki.com says MSRP is $5,799 US). You saved yourself $500, not too bad of a deal I guess.

Make sure that you check the clutch cover for corrosion ASAP!!!!

The 05's and 06's come with magnesium clutch covers and it has been shown that they cause corrosion around the water pump very extensively!!

Your Kawi Dealer might or might not know about this issue, so make sure you call Kawi first and get some firepower, you don't want to have to buy a new cover yourself!!

 

i bought a 03 for 1900 and all it needed was a bearing carrier and axel bearings
