i was told this front piece was off of an 03 ninja zx9r. just wondering if anyone can verify this. or tell me what front end this belongs too. when i picked up the 87 ninja 1000r the guy gave me this front end for free with it and i don't want to convert the 87 to the new front end so i'm just going to sell it for cheap instead of letting it take up space in my garage.

directly behind where the headlight would be is stamped " 55028 - 1386 "

and then on the left inner part is stamped " KHI F037 "

 

after a little more research (ronayers.com) it appears to me that it will fit a 2000 - 2003 kawasaki ninja zx9r. and seeing as the one i have is silver in color it appears that it did in fact come off of a 2003 zx9r.

 

This is the part where I was unshure of. Looked last night, '94-'95's had 55049.

'96-'01 had the 55028's
'02 listed a 55051
'03 listed both the 55051 D/E and the 55028

So I still am not sure on this.

 

IT LOOKS LIKE IF COULD BE THE ZX9R OR AN '00- '02 ZX6R (SAME AS A '05-CURRENT ZZR600.) IT THE TOP OF THE WIND SCREEN CRADLE BROKEN ON ONE SIDE? I NEED TO HAVE A CRACK IN MY NOISE FIXED BUT IF I CAN FIND ONE THAT DOESN'T NEED "FIXIN" THAT WOULD SAVE ME SOME TIME.
