Vapor lock

Vapor lock
I have 2510 4x4 gas burner. Once the engine is warmed up and at operating temp it will bog and die. Once it cools back down it cranks and runs fine until warms up again. I'm getting tired of having to drag it back to the house. It sounds like vapor lock to me but I didn't think that happened with an electric fuel pump. The pump seems to work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Vapor lock
I would have a spare spark plug handy when it dies. Remove the caps from front and rear cylinders and test for spark on each coil. If you have spark, then you may have a tight engine valve. They are adjustable and should be done so on a regular basis. If they are tightening up when the engine gets hot, then the clearance goes away therefore holding the valve open at all times and the engine can't build sufficient compression to run or hold in the fuel needed for combustion. The clearance should be checked by a qualified mechanic. If not and you get it too loose, then the next time you rev the engine high the push rod jumps out of positon and you have a weak or not running engine again.
Hope this helps,
Jody
