gas in oil crankcase
I have been finding large amounts of gasoline in my oil. had it to the dealer and they toyed with the carb! Another mechanic told me this is a commen problem with the mule 2510 it was because it idle to low! Cannot turn up idle any higher because it engages the clutch.Any suggestions?

RE: gas in oil crankcase
Hey Farmer,
The reasons we have found oil in the crankcase is as follows:
1 Choke cable not fully returning to off position
a Sticking cable or broken
b improperly adjusted
2 Improper spark plugs (BMR2A by NGK)
3 Not running the unit long enough to allow unburnt fuel to evaporate, traditionally if you crank up and drive short distances and then shut downthe unit will accumilate fuel in the oil that passes by the rings. This is especially bad as this unit runs plain bearings on the crankshaft that will weld themselves to the crankshaft if problem persist.
4 Incorrect fuel pump. OEM pump is almost always best. We have seen low pressure automotive pumps over pressurize the carburetor and float needle can't hold the pressure back and the carb allows fuel to flow unrestricted into the intakes and down past the rings. MAKE SURE IT IS NOT WIRED DIRECT, go through fuel pump relay.
5 New float and needle in carburetor.
Any more mule questions, just PM me.
