These come off as a single unit. Take off all the bolts that go threw the jet pump casing into the jet ski. I take off the water grate first working back to the rear of the jetski. There may be some rubber holding it in place, so knife that away. With all the bolts off, the only thing holding it to the ski is the shaft, so slip it rear ward off the shaft.
Now if you have the cone off, you will see a ****. If you turn the **** the impeller turns. I put that **** into a vice, standing up the shaft end. Now I insert impeller tool, (Tool is about $11.00) put a big wrench on impeller tool and the impeller will come off.

No bolts to remove from INSIDE the engine compartment. Don't even remove the seat!
1. Remove the ride plate.
2. Remove the intake grate.
3. Remove/detach steering cable, hoses, etc. from the jet pump.
4. Remove the 4 bolts (using 14-mm socket) that holds the jet pump assy to the back of the ski - as you look from the back, you will see the 4 bolt heads.
